Babe's Masterplan!

Yes, I realise that I'm like a scatty old woman. Saying I'll tell you about something, then moving onto a load of seemingly unrelated topics, before coming back to the original one. A bit like good ole Ronnie and his monologue jokes:

Anyway, I'm back on track now, so here's Babe's Masterplan!

OK, thought I'd use a bit of my marketing savvy to assist with the whole money saving thing. And so, the marketing plan has been adapted into a savings plan. I have a terrible habit of trying to do everything at once, which ultimately means I achieve nothing. So, I thought that by applying what I have learnt in my day job, I could set myself SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achieveable, Realistic and Targetted) monthly objectives. I'll detail potential savings with each one in detail when I come to that month, but here is an overview of my objectives for the next year:

June
  • Find a job which is closer to home and pays more money
  • Send tip into 'Love It's' tip section
  • Save standard £150 into ISA
July
  • Find a new (and cheaper) place to rent
  • Save standard £150 into ISA
August
  • Check out both mine and our joint out-goings - identify areas where potential cost savings could be achieved.
  • Save standard £150 into ISA
September
  • Have a clear out and an E-bay sesh/Amazon/Green Metroplis Sesh!
  • Save standard £150 into ISA
October
  • Final payment on car loan - woo hoo!
  • Pay collected pennies and 5p's into ISA
  • Save standard £150 into ISA
November
  • Start making my own Chrimbo cards to send and sell
  • Pay £300 into ISA (increased as I have paid off Car Loan!)
December
  • Ask for donations for 'bricks' for Xmas instead of pressies (pay any Chrimbo money into ISA)
  • Pay £300 into ISA
January
  • Start looking into doing some freelance writing/marketing/CV work
  • Pay £300 into ISA
February
  • Pay £300 into ISA
March
  • Ask for donations for 'bricks' instead of Birthday pressies
  • Pay £300 into ISA
April
  • Pay £300 into ISA
  • Enjoy ISA interest
By my calculations I could save £4550 by April next year if I follow this plan! Watch this space!
