Following two weeks of part-time (and very boring) temping I am pleased to report that I now have a full-time and permanent-ish job!
Well, OK, it's maternity cover to begin with. But there is a chance that it might become permanent depending on how the lady I'm covering for feels about leaving her baby. When push (quite literally) comes to shove she just might be compelled to stay at home and be a full-time Mum? Also, there's the chance that another opportunity may arise within the company whilst I'm there and I'll be able to take that on.
But, for the next nine months at least - I have employment. Yes, it's more travelling - although it's easy, mindless sit on the train and read the paper for 40 minutes travelling - so that ain't bad. It's also more money, more responsibility and a much more senior job title. Hurrah! All that hard work has eventually paid off.
Stay tuned to find out more...!

Hello, just stopped in randomly. Cute blog theme, I like it. Congrats, and I hope you find a permanent job before the woman returns from mat leave.
Cheers - I hope so too, although from what they've said quite often people on contract often get taken on on a permanent basis - fingers crossed, eh?
