How often have you stood in front of your wardrobe, hand on hip, wailing 'I've got NOTHING to wear'. Meanwhile your wardrobe is so full it's practically spewing spaghetti strap vests onto your feet.
Normally, when I feel this way I head to the shops. But not this time...
This time I pulled everything out of my wardrobe (and I do mean everything) and tried them all on with garments I wouldn't usually match them with.
Going out tops that I've become bored of, go fab with my work suits and skirts. A top I bought last summer to wear with jeans, actually goes even better with a skirt I've owned for years. And there were lots of other great matches too.
OK, so there were some casualties. Some clothes didn't go with anything in my wardrobe, and neither did they tolerate my expanding hips, so they're off to the charity shop! Another bag of clothes is waiting to be mended or adapted. A third bag needs to be looked at again.
And, yes, there are still gaps in my wardrobe which will need to be filled, but now I've identified exactly what those gaps are I can concentrate on those areas, rather than going shopping and coming home with yet another black T-shirt to add to the collection.
Plus, with the recent opening of Primark at Merry Hill I'm certain to nab some fab bargains!
Go on take a look in your wardrobe today and see what fab new outfits you can make out of your existing collection.
