Would you like the bad news, or the bad news...

Heard this on the radio yesterday...

I warn you, if you're saving for a place to buy, it's utterly, utterly depressing!

Struggling to buy a house?

People are staying at home for much longer because they can't afford to buy a house or flat. The latest stats show first-time buyers paid an average of £46,489 in 1995. By 2005 that had jumped to £141,229 - a 204% rise. At the same time wages only went up by 92%. Deposits are also costing more than they did in 1995. So are you one of those people having trouble getting on the property ladder?"

I'm off to dream of a lifestyle I can't afford now...ohh being able to afford to buy a house and pay the bills - the youth of today are so greedy aren't they?
