Bank Holiday Blitz

OK, OK I've been slacking over the weekend. The gorgeous weather, coupled with the days off work made blog writing somewhat less enticing.

There's always a temptation to blow the budget over a Bank Holiday, but I think I've been pretty good this weekend. Although having some noggin reverse into me while I was doing the weekly shopping kind of put pay to any ideas of driving care free into the country-side!

One thing this weekend has taught me is that to save money, you don't necessarily have to drop everything. Sometimes it's just a case of downsizing those plans. So, this weekend:

- A day out in the countryside became a day spent pruning and weeding in the garden.
- A scrumptious meal out, turned into cooking Sunday lunch for my family.
- A Bank Holiday Bender turned into a few drinks and a good catch up with an old friend.

And, do you know what? Not only was it cheaper...it was much better for the soul too!
