An Ebay Life

When I used to live in London one of my close friends used to speak of 'living an Ebay' life. Her partner would trawl Car Boot sales over the weekend looking for rare vinyl that he could flog on Ebay for twice the price.

To be honest I've always been a bit scared of the E-bay machine. It seemed a bit complicated and there were fees and postage and lots of other things to bear in mind.

But staying true to This is Money's 50 Ways to Save Money I thought I'd give it a shot.

Bah - its easy! Have a poke around the cupboards for those items that are gathering dust, take a photo of them. Give them a snazzy write up and put them up for sale. Simple as. Whether I'm actually going to make any money or not remains to be seen.

I'm only selling little things so I'm not going to be making mega bucks. But one of my items isn't doing badly and I've got a number of watchers on a number of other items. My auctions close tomorrow and I've already found out some more items to put up for sale once they've completed! I'll let you know how I get on!

But I do warn you it's addictive!

PS> I'll revisit tip 10 - don't buy designer labels at a later date. The finances aint looking too pretty at the moment, even Oxfam chic would break the bank! Eek!
