Check Your Bills!

It's Saturday morning, you're sitting in the lounge supping a nice strong coffee when you hear the post plop through the door. You waddle to the door thanks to your bunny rabbit shaped slippers and find a bundle of nasty A5 window envelopes. The type of envelopes which mean one of two things. Either someone is trying to sell you something, or that's a bill. What do you do? Leave it unopened? Open it, but only give it a quick glance before filing it away?

There's no point in having to check everything, right? I mean you pay the same amount each month and it comes out of your account by direct debit - it's not like it's suddenly going to change now is it? Is it...? Well actually it might.

Over the last two months Babe has received three bills which were incorrect! On the first they had charged me for itemised billing when I'd already opted out, the second hadn't taken a discount code off and were trying to charge me full price for an item and the third hadn't credited the special offer £10 cash back onto my account. Needless to say it (literally) pays to check your bills! OK, so it's not much fun. And, when you do find something wrong you normally have to call India to try and sort it out, but over the past two months alone checking my bills and calling the relevant companies has saved me £28!

Moral to the story - get checking!
