Buy Own Brand...

Yep, it's time for this weeks challenge!

According to the ever-trusty, This is Money's - 50 Money Saving tips I can save lots of moolah by only purchasing own-brand goods. Now, when they wrote this I'm guessing they didn't mean Tesco's Finest range, even though that technically is own brand.

So, this week it's going to be Asda Smartprice all the way (other value ranges are available - but Asda is where I tend to shop!). Love of my Life looked frankly disgusted when I mentioned the idea to him. Although I have to admit I am a bit anxious too. We're both big foodie fans and I'm worried we're not going to like the taste of the value foods. I'm also concerned that the nutritional value in them will be zilch. All I can say is thank god, I've got a fair few meals out next week. Although that's def not good for the bank balance is it? Hmm.

I'm also going to give own brand cosmetics a try, should I need to purchase any during the week. And, well own brand anything really!

If anyone knows of any yummy value foods, or any seriously minging ones I should avoid, please do let me know!
