The interesting thing about trying to save money, is that you suddenly start to notice how much money you spend on absolutely nothing. Or, even worse paying for absolutely nothing for somebody else. Take my boss's coffee. When I was amongst the coffee drinking posse at my office, I would duly put my money into the collective 'Coffee Fund' every Monday. Sometimes topping it up midweek. Now I've left the caffeine crew I still have to fetch coffee for my boss, who also adds some money to the 'Coffee Fund', although interestingly when I go to delve in to get some change en route to the coffee machine, in true three bears style - the pot is more than often bare. Babe wonders how much of her stingy salary has been spent on keeping her boss in strong black coffee!
Moral to the story - be nice, but don't be too generous!
