Sooo tempting...

Babe went shopping today...and yep, she nearly blew the budget! Popping into Debenhams I spotted an abs gorgeous handbag. If there's one thing you should know about Babe it's that she has a serious bag fetish! The other styles were reduced to £25 - bargain. But unfortunately the design I was lusting after was still a budget destroying £50. I tore myself away and headed for the nearest door before I was tempted to produce my credit card.

With me, once I splurge on one item it's a slippery slope and one item soon becomes ten, so it's best not to start at all. Or at least to leave the house with only a limited amount of cash and no credit or debit cards. Trouble is, I'm always convinced something terrible is going to happen en route to my chosen shopping destination, that only my credit card will be able to help me out of. I'm not quite sure what I think this will be, and it certainly hasn't happened yet. But this unnecessary fear means my credit card is always dangerously close at hand.

In the end the shopping trip turned into a bit of a bargain blitz. Bought some cosmetics and got the best deal on most of them (found out my toner was cheaper in the supermarket when I was doing my groceries - doh!), also got rewarded with some lovely Boots Advantage Card points, and got another skin care and hair care voucher. So it's lots of shampoo and cleanser on the cheap for me. At this rate I'll be stocked up until about June - hurrah! Babe's advice - there's always a way to work the system to your advantage.

Let's hope tomorrows little shopping trip is equally bargainous!
