Hmm...After feeling all smug and inspired with my money saving ideas over the past few days, I now feel a little defeated. Damn food shopping. Went to Asda tonight, which to be honest was pretty bargainous, £27.39 for a weeks shopping for two aint bad in my book. Trouble is I also owed Love of my Life some funds for last weeks food shopping. Argh! Then, by the time I'd bought some new cleanser and other girlie essentials (and, yes, they were most definately essential!), posted birthday cards and thank you notes and bought some more stamps to keep in stock, my notion of saving as much as possible had kind of flown out of the window!
I generally try and stick to a bit of a budget each week, and this week I'd hoped I'd manage to be quite strict with myself to ensure I can pay off the Christmas deficit as quickly as possible and start saving towards that elusive £5k. I was hoping/blindly fooling myself (you decide) that I'd have money left in my purse for next week! At this rate I'll be lucky to save £5k in 5 years - let alone 354 days! Desperately need to come up with some get rich quick schemes! Argh! Argh! And thrice Argh!
PS> Managed to save about 90p on my cosmetics today - 90p doesn't sound much, but if I do that every time I buy cosmetics (probably about once a fortnight) that's about £23 a year. OK, it's not mega bucks - but at this rate I need all the help I can get!
